The Albany Regional Museum has opened a permanent exhibit to highlight the history of the specialty metals industry in the area.

The project was a collaboration between the Albany, Oregon museum and several former and current employees of local specialty metals producing and manufacturing companies.

Our work with ATI Specialty Alloys and Components (formerly ATI Wah Chang) made us an easy choice to assist them with the design of the main visual assets for the display. DesignPoint created the exhibit logo, as well as many of the main components. The museum provided us with information and photos for the different components, which included biographies, stories, a detailed timeline, and a chart showing the specialty metals industry’s economic impact in Linn County. The exhibit also features historical photographs and artifacts that help tell the story of how Albany became a critical part of the specialty metals industry.

Take a look at this article from the Democrat Herald that talks more about the display, and be sure to stop by the Albany Regional Museum to see it for yourself.
