Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho came to us with an exciting project.

NNU wanted to increase enrollment by getting the word out about the outstanding educational and spiritual opportunities at their university. All they needed to accomplish this was a compelling new marketing campaign. Simple, right?

NNU had a clear goal and was familiar with the type of materials and message needed to reach their target market—they just needed a visual concept to make it a reality. NNU wanted a hip, youthful look to present the advantages of Northwest Nazarene University to students looking for a place to start the next phase of their academic careers. They wanted to focus on the ways NNU had an advantage over other, larger schools; smaller class sizes, individual attention, talented staff, and an opportunity for spiritual growth, to name a few.

In many ways, this type of project is a best-case scenario for us. While it may seem a daunting task to redesign so many individual pieces, the benefit for NNU lies in the consistency of those materials which will greatly increase the overall effectiveness of their entire identity. Since we were starting with a clean slate, we began by coming up with a few visual concepts for NNU to choose from. One concept stood out from the start and we got the go-ahead to begin developing the Biggie Viewbook and Mini Viewbook which would become the anchors for the rest of the campaign. The Biggie Viewbook contained 24 pages of photos and information about NNU. It, along with the smaller Mini Viewbook, was based on the new style and followed NNU’s theme of “Great Minds, Great Hearts, Great Futures”. Interior copy and photos were provided by NNU and focused on the students and people that make Northwest Nazarene University such an outstanding institution. We also developed several more pieces including an application and forms packet, trade show displays, postcards, stationery, etc. The result is something we are very proud of and we can’t thank Northwest Nazarene University enough for the opportunity to help them meet their goals for the future.
